For all things Webs!

So I was thinking more about the reviews App.  What if it was something where someone can post a review, and choose whether its a movie, book, song, game, or custom (where site owner can create additional categories), etc.  Then the app could go to Amazon or somewhere and automatically pull down an image and stuff.  You could add a description of the thing, and then write a review.  In addition, there could be a rating widget  (I assume you would want everyone to be able to rate and comment?)

YES!! YES!! YES!! That sounds absolutely amazing. I love that idea. By everyone, I hope you mean all members. But this is awesome! This is what I've been waiting for on my site for a REALLY long time. I CAN'T WAIT!

GOOD idea! But why amazon? Just wondering. it's not bad.

Could amazon me optional? I'd want to review freewebs products, you see, and they aren't on Webs. Ha ha. I think amazon should be a radio option.

Pull images from Photo Gallery (Have several screenshots selected from the photo gallery)

Same as above but with videos (maybe?)

Yeah, I think we should also be able to put in our own info (not necessarily from Amazon), but it could be an option. Also, for the categories (book, movies, games, etc.), make sure that those are listed as checkboxes for the site admin, because I will use this for book reviews, and I don't want people posting game reviews on it :P.

Good point. I don't want people posting reviews about games on my site about webs and people posting things about webs on my gaming sites XD

Anyway *cough* I can't wait. But comments is a must.

If we would be linking to amazon would it be possible to tie that in with amazon affiliate accounts?

This would have been great three years ago

I currently just want unlimited pages for my site, I spent a good 40 of them on deal trackers, besides, there are already a bunch of great revision tools on the internet, like Google Docs, which even allows callaboration...

I wanted to ask for this but kept forgetting. I definitely need one of these on my site. My site is for an anime series and members often ask if and where they can add their own reviews but can't. This would really be of use to me and my site members.

It's a good idea, but there is no need for one on a deal tracking site like mine...*sigh*

Will their be a page for each product/thing-being-reviewed and the reviews are located on there, or will members each create a review, which would be a seperate page and there would be multiple pages for the same product/thing-being-reviews. Personally, I like the first one, so there aren't a million reviews for one thing and so that they're all located on the same page for one product.

Please, avoid the pageloads, it takes forever to load a page off webs...

While this is an interesting idea, I have no use for it. 

I would use this. I want to try and use every app available. When is the guestbook app coming? like publicly available?

I might be able to use it for beta versions of pages, but it would have to be widget...

And on the beta topc, my site goes out of beta into it's new version tommorrow morning, tell me what you think of it then plz...

why would it have to link anywheres? what if its not a buy-able item?

why not allow us to use iframes instead of links?

I really want to know if this is a firm idea (work in progress) type of apps because it would be really awesome.
